This program is the first in a series of three virtual roundtables looking at intellectual property (IP) law and policy issues associated with non-fungible tokens (NFTs). It will focus on patents and NFTs, providing panelists—including technologists, patent owners and practitioners, academics, and industry representatives—with an opportunity to share their knowledge and inform a joint study conducted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the United States Copyright Office.
This study continues the two offices’ ongoing work to explore emerging technologies and their implications for IP rights, and it responds to a request from the Senate Committee on the Judiciary’s Subcommittee on Intellectual Property.
This roundtable will be recorded and made available for later viewing online. To learn more about the other programs in this series, visit the USPTO website.
