Today's Spotlight Patents continue our theme of blockchains (smart contracts, distributed ledgers) and rights management broadly construed. Assigned to Americorp Investments, the first of today's patents addresses techniques for a blockchain operating system. Assigned to Netspective, the second patent addresses techniques for self-controlled digital authorization over communication networks.
10,965,661, "Blockchain operating system," assigned to Americorp Investments LLC.
Systems, methods, and software are disclosed herein to execute functionalities of a blockchain operating system. A transactional request for an operating system instruction is received from a user device in a distributed network of nodes. The transactional request is authenticated in the distributed network of nodes based on data associated with the transactional request. A blockchain is then evaluated for one or more scripts associated with the transactional request. In response, the operating system instruction is generated based on the one or more scripts. The operating system instruction is then transferred to the user device in the distributed network or nodes.
10,963,585, "Self-controlled digital authorization over communication networks," assigned to Netspective Communications LLC
A system for authorizing an external device to access computerized records. The system includes a server. The server includes a computerized records data-store. The computerized records data-store stores multiple computer executable files associated with subjects. The system includes a communication network which facilitates communication between at least two of the subjects, the server, and the external device. The system includes a contextual authorization device for authorizing access to the external device for the computerized records. The contextual authorization device includes a database storing a set of custom rules. The contextual authorization device further includes a Global Positioning System-based tracking device, a credentialing engine, and a user behavior analytics engine. The contextual authorization device further includes an access module to process authorization of the external device for access of the computerized records.
