New pending patent applications are published by the USPTO on Thursdays. Today's Spotlight Applications concern aspects of blockchain (distributed ledger, smart contracts) and rights management broadly construed. Assigned to 8eo, the first application discloses techniques for content management across a multi-party conferencing system. Assigned to ZhongAn Technology (CN), the second application discloses techniques for smart contract upgrades based on alliance chain.
20190289046, "Content management across a multi-party conferencing system," assigned to 8eo.
A system and method provides for content management for a networked communication platform, including receiving a communication connection with a user, such as via a networked connection. The method and system includes a communication platform having executable operations for facilitating a multi-party conference with a conference engine that receives both an audio/video stream from the user, as well as data relating to the user interface operations. Concurrently, the data stream and the audio/video stream are transmitted to a data engine. The facilitates an online conference with two more users, the data engine processes the feeds external from the conference itself, allowing for recordation.
20190278767, "Smart contract upgrade method and system based on alliance chain," assigned to ZhongAn Information Technology Service Co., Ltd (CN)
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a smart contract upgrade method and system based on an alliance chain. The smart contract upgrade method includes: receiving an upgrade transaction submitted through an alliance chain invocation interface; performing a verification on the upgrade transaction in order to verify whether the update transaction is initiated by a creator of an original smart contract through an authorization node; and submitting the upgrade transaction to the alliance chain, when a verification result is that the upgrade transaction is initiated by the creator of the original smart contract through the authorization node, so that the alliance chain receives and executes the upgrade transaction, and writes an execution code of a new smart contract into a storage location of the corresponding original smart contract.
